Captain – Richard Hartman

Captain Richard Hartman simply put was born to fish! His love of fishing seemed to be a natural part of his life as early as 5 years old as he remembers his first cane pole given to him by his dad. Growing up on a lake in New Jersey his family also owned a bait and tackle store. Richard has fond memories of counting worms and helping local fishermen find the bass in Farrington Lake during tournaments. In his free time as a child, he would grab his dog Lucky and his fishing poles and head out on the lake in his canoe fishing till the sun went down.

As a young man, Richard was also part of a Shark/Tuna boat team in Manasquan NJ for 7 years. He moved to Florida 1989 and started to fish the local waters of the Bay area learning an abundance of valuable skills along the way.

For the past 28 years Captain Richard has enjoyed fishing for fun and also being part of the local annual tournaments such as SKA events and The King Of The Beach in Madeira Beach, FL. Captain Richard has been a licensed Captain for since 2002. In the early years as a Charter Captain Rich zeroed in on the Spring and Fall King Fish Seasons treating action hungry anglers to the never dull experience of fighting a King Fish. In recent years Capt. Rich has been able to spend much more time doing what he loves best, helping others who share the love for fishing, catch all kinds of fish off the coastal waters of Western Central Florida. He is known by his customers as the Captain that can always find the fish! One thing is for sure every guest will get to experience is his undeniable passion for fishing, along with his genuine desire to provide a quality experience for every angler! Captain – Art Hill

Like many fishermen, I come from a long line of fishermen. Born in the backwoods of South Carolina, matured off the coast of North Carolina, and tested in the Gulf of Mexico, my fishing skills have been challenged time and time again. It wasn’t until I hooked up with Captain Richard that I started catching fish in record numbers. His passion for fishing is infectious, which makes him a pure joy to fish with.

Being a former collegiate athlete I bring a certain level of readiness to every charter we take. Not only do I want our guest to catch fish. I want them to take home a trophy fish. In order to achieve that, we must go into every charter with spots scouted, equipment ready, and bait frisky. No matter what the Fishin Conditions are we’re always ready to score!
